
Research In Motion (RIM) announced the presence of two new products on the BlackBerry Wireless Enterprise Symposium (WES) in 2010 at Orlando, Florida, USA, on 27-29 April 2010. The new phone is the “BlackBerry Bold 9650″ and “the BlackBerry Pearl 3G”.
“Bold 9650″ Bold is the first available models for CDMA networks. Previously, several models Bold is available only for GSM networks and the router that works on BlackBerry Tour GSM and CDMA networks. Compared Tour, Bold 9650 offers faster data access with support of 3G (EVDO) or HSPA / UMTS in addition to WiFi 802.11b / g. The internal memory is upgraded to 512 MB and use the trackpad as a replacement optical trackball.
Meanwhile, the “Pearl 3G” is a product of the world’s first BlackBerry to support high-speed 802.11n WiFi access in addition to 802.11b / g. Improve the access speed is also done at Pearl 3G which is the continuation of the BlackBerry product line design with the most slender bars and size among other product lines. There are two types of 3G Pearl, 9100 each of which uses semi-QWERTY keyboard with 20 keys and 14 keys 9105 using a conventional mobile phone standard.
Both are still using the BlackBerry OS 5 which is the latest platforms available today. Each will be available from May in the U.S. market as well as in other countries.
